Why is the U.S. becoming more old-fashioned?
It seems like the U.S. is sort of a time machine.

Japan is years ahead in terms of creating and using technology.

There’s the thought that war is good, which is very old-fashioned.

Americans just seem behind the times these days. There’s not even any big fashion or music movements anymore. It’s just same old, same old.

It seems that even so-called “third world” countries use better cell phones, because they probably deal directly with Japan, whereas Americans think that doing something like using a cell phone as a TV remote or barcode scanner is “futuristic”.

Do you think the slow-down is a result of the war, like maybe Americans are so focussed on that, they’re missing out on other things?

Just a thought.

Best answer:

our ideas are censored, free thinking is frowned upon, education is circling the drain….

many reasons.

war really has nothing to do with it. it’s a symptom. i’d say it’s mass media’s fault, but where is mass media getting it’s ideas??

america is a cash farm nation. corporations own media, media controls people. media is used to prevent the majority from thinking for themselves, collaborating, brainstorming, etc…

media says, forget about world issues, go shopping instead.

maybe if you look at things like politics, and the moral majority(minority) you will find some answers to these questions you ask.
