Would taking a picture of a barcode work on a scanner?
I am having some issues with printing right now. I need to print a barcode of a PDF document. I was wondering if a picture of the barcode on my phone would work with the scanner? I do not know the technical aspects of the camera, but the phone is fairly new, within 6 months, and the camera is quite good. I apologize for the lack of detail but I was mostly curious about whether it was theoretically possible or not.
TL;DR I take a pic of a barcode from a PDF file. Would the barcode work if I scanned a picture of it from my phone?
The picture is fairly clear. It appears to have the same clarity as it did on the PDF. I was more interested in if the light from the phone would mess it up but my understanding of how barcode scanners work is probably wrong.
