does anyone know how to use Visual Basic to program an rfid tag and rfid reader?
I am trying to program the rfid reader using visual basic to recognize the rfid tag inside of a football so that when the football crosses the plane (censor) for a touchdown an LED will light up.If anyone can help with a program that we can try, it will be greatly appreciated.

basic free retail POS/Inventory system?
i work sprint store as a salesman and we have ne inventory system what so ever. i spoke to my boss and he agreed to pay me if i could set up an inventory system for the store. the problem is that the retail pos we use is overly complicated for what we do, and we dont really know how to use it (we got it for free). i was wondering if anybody knows of a fairly simple pos system that would do what we need without being overly complicated. we just need a inventory system and a point of sale system that looks professional and is easy to use and will allow the employee to apply discounts on the spot. extra features are nice and we can use more that that but those are the essential features. thanks

most times, a barcode is just another installed font, several out there available. So if you were doing mailing labels, you would have a text box set to the barcode font and put the proper digits (zip and check code) into the text box value.
To create an image though, not sure if you could use the paint commands then save the image box or not.

Whats the best way to create a basic stock control database?
I need to make an inventory control database.
Ideally, I would like to keep track of
Stock quantity
Stock description
Stock location
Say someone wants 4 mice, I would like to go to the database, find out where the mice are, and type in how many have been removed (4), and for the quantity to update.
It would be good to have the stock details stored in MS Excel. Can I put an MS Access database over the top of this?
How easy/difficult can this be, and has anyone done it before?
Any help/tips/sources are appreciated!!

Can a product like Quicken Basic 2007, have a different UPC code in Best Buy, than Wal-mart?
Intuit rebates claims that a UPC code from the product bought at Best Buy, can be incorrect because Best Buy does not participate in the rebate.

What is the name of the screen when you don’t have cable, it made up of basic colors and looks like a barcode?
As I said before it looks like a barcode, it mainly made up of the colors magenta, turquoise, yellow, pink and black. It comes on whenever the channel is out of service or the signal has gone out.

How do I create a basic inventory database in Excel that will print labels?
I need each label to have both letters and numbers within the sku. I want it to be able to fill in the graduated sku list itself, without me having to type SLT0001, SLT0002…etc. Any ideas or easy formulas that you know of? I want to do this in Excel or Word, not an inventory program. Doesn’t have to be extensive just basic. Thank you!

Make a program in Visual Basic to look up item in database by typing UPC barcode?
I have a CSV (comma separated value) file with UPC Barcodes in it. I want to know how to make a visual basic program that will show the name of the item when the barcode is entered. 10 points for a step by step instruction guide or working link.
