Can I find out what store a gift came from using the upc code?

I got a gift that I need to return. I was told it came from Walmart or Target but they say the upc code doesn’t match. Is there a way to find out online what store it came from by the upc code?

What software is there for a Symbol MC50 Pocket PC camera? My Pocket PC only came with Demo software.?

There is a demo program that comes with the pocket pc, but it only lets you use it once. After that you have to soft reset the pc.
It’s kind of a pain to reset your pocket pc every time you want to use your camera. Plus the frame rate with the demo software is really choppy. I know this thing can do better.

Best answer:

Lick it 3 times and the stores name should appear thru the bar code.

Is there a way in VB programming to track whether an input came from a bar-code reader or a keyboard?

Is there a way in VB programming to track whether an input came from a bar-code reader or a keyboard?
I am using Visual Studio 2005 to create a system.

Best answer:

It may be difficult as many bar code scanners are key stuffers. They use the same port as the keyboard and send the same characters/escape codes as a keyboard. Many often use a “wedge” to sit between a keyboard and the PC. I’m sure there are vendors who offer alternatives such as feeding the input through a serial port, USB port, or parallel port. You’d have to look into the vendor’s product to see what they can offer you. Also, many are programmable, so they could send a preset set of characters every time you have a scan come in. You could then trap that information and use it to determine if it was type in or scanned in. HTH.

I just sold some unopened games that came with an Xbox 360, what should I do about the bar code?

I just sold some unopened games that came with an Xbox 360, what should I do about the bar code?
I recently purchased an Xbox 360 and it came with two games, Kung Fu Panda and Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures. I decided to sell them on Ebay (and they went quickly) and am wondering, should I cross out the bar code on the side of the games? They’ve never been opened, and I know there are certain times when one should cross out bar codes; is this one of them? Thanks.

Are you talking about the certificate of authenticity thing on the seal? If you are, I can’t even think why you would want to.

Is there a way to tell which store a product came from based on the barcode?

Is there a way to tell which store a product came from based on the barcode?
If bar codes are assigned to a product and not a store then how come stores can tell by scanning it if it is theirs or not? I need to return something and I have taken it to two different stores that say that it was not theirs even though I know that they do sell it.
I am not trying to scam anyone…. but I bought something that I need to return… I thought I bought it from walmart but they said it wasn’t theirs… Is there anyway I can find out where I bought it based on the bar code so I can return it to the proper store? Usually I wouldn’t care but it is pretty spendy.

Best answer:

If a store’s national market share is big enough (for example, Walmart), the manufacturer will produce merchandise with a special bar code just for that particular store.

I printed a postage on paypal, but it came out a little smaller then half a page and it has little horizontal white lines going through the bar code. will it be able to read this? worst case scenario can they just punch in the numbers right under the bar code if it doesnt scan? im worried because this package has to be delivered in less then 5 days. thanks.

Hi There,

Good Post! I love everything about business, escpecially the marketing and advertising parts. These things make or break a business. I’ve found many ways to advertise my business that might help you. If you have a website, try SEO and PPC (pay per click from Google Adwords).

If you advertise your business offline, try handing out flyers, printing coupons, and yellowpage advertising).

The best method I’ve found yet is to buy business cards and hand them out everwhere. I buy them from a place online that gives the cards for free and only charges for shipping and handling. I hand these out to everyone I meet, and I leave them on cars where ever I go (I also got a free business card holder that looks really impressive)!

Take care and good luck with your business!

How do I find out which one of my Xbox 360 controllers is the one that came with my Xbox 360 system?

How do I find out which one of my Xbox 360 controllers is the one that came with my Xbox 360 system?
I have 2 controllers and one is broken and I want to know if i can send it in under the warranty of my Xbox system. Is there a barcode or something that I can compare to my system or the box my system came in?

Best answer:

first, im not sure if you can send back a controller to microsoft… but what the heck i dunno.

as for what kind of controller you have… there have only been two different kinds.

the first one had the old matrix circuitboard
the second is the new cg circuitboard.

now im doing this from memory so bear with me… if you take out the battery back you can actually see the green circuitboard on the back of the controller. it should be covered in little tiny letters and numbers. if you see t19 then its old matrix board.

its a pretty safe bet tho if u bought ur 360 more than a year and a half ago then ur controller has matrix board. if you recently bought the other controller then its prolly cg. just look for that T19.

hope this helps!
