HOW TO USE BARCODESOFT TO CONVERT UPC TO BARCODE IN EXCEL?
Do anyone know how to use Barcodesoft to generate barcode from UPC in excel?
Best answer:
Yes, but the subject is far to complex to discuss fully here. For starters you need to figure out which bar code you should use.
barcodesoft.com/products.aspx shows the list of Barcodesoft products. Each product’s description includes discussion of the font and it uses, an online demo of the font, pricing, and links to instructions about how to integrate the bar codes with MS Word, Excel, Access, Crystal Reports, VB, and VC++.

How do you convert from pounds to kilograms on an 7876 NCR scanner/scale? Any barcodes?
I have a used scanner scale and it’s stuck in pounds… since we are in Canada, I need it in kilograms. I heard there were a “units of measure” in one model of the NCR scanner scale, but could not find it for my model. Are there barcodes? possibly some special sequence? This is an NCR7876 scanner scale. Thanks.
Unfortunately, because I don’t have a service agreement with NCR (this equipment is used…) it has become an issue getting support for it. (Next time, I’ll have to choose another model/brand…. I hear PSC aka Data Logic is better to work with and they have support regardless….. )
Best answer:
this is quite a specific request.. have you tried contacting
NCR?
ncr.com/
maybe there is a chip or firmware on it that could be changed to cope with such a thing, but i doubt this is free of charge.

That’s a tough one. If it’s an rs-232 scanner they do make rs-232 to wireless adapters. You would need an rs-232 cable from your scanner to the wireless adapter, then a second wireless adapter to your host system. But there’s one big problem with this. You need to provide power to the scanner somehow. So I don’t think you really have an option. It looks like the rs-232 to wireless adapter pair is pretty expensive. Check it out here – wcscnet.com/HdwHPS120.htm
Then throw on top of that some kind of system to get power to the scanner. You’d be better off just buying a bluetooth scanner from eBay. You can pick them up for well under 0.
For more information about barcodes and barcode scanners check out my website.
After I wrote this I found a device at sumlung.com/en/barcode-adapter.html that apparently converts a corded barcode scanner into a bluetooth scanner.
My guess is the person that made this post is tied to that company. But what the heck. If you’re not I’d say be careful if you decide to buy this thing. It seems like it won’t last long. Typical Chinese engineering. Engineer it cheaply, pay your workers nothing to make it, include crappy instructions (if any at all) and then just ignore any requests for support. As I said in another post, I might just buy one and do a review of it on my website.
