i am using microsoft excel and im trying to get the barcode on it as well when i scan the product?
im using microsoft excel and i can scan the barcode and get the the S/N but im trying to get the actual barcode as well if you know how to that i would really appriciate it thanx for you time

To do that you’d need to scan in and store the “No” then in another cell, you need to COPY the data and format it with a BARCODE font
U need to know WHAT format the barcode is . . as there are various ones.

If you’re only looking for an image based on the data you input, then there are quite a few online data matrix generators. One example is idautomation.com/java/dmservlet.html.
If you want a stand alone program, that’s a little harder. I have one that is free but comes without support. It was developed at my company many years ago and then put on the shelf. We’ve given it out to many people in the past with the stipulation that if you find something wrong with it we won’t fix it because it’s long retired now. It does work well. Creates a barcode and copies an image of the code to your clipboard. You can then paste it into another application.

I need help in excel for barcode scanning?
I use excel to scan in inventory starting with the product number then the serial number. Instead of all the barcodes being scanned into one column, I want to know if there is a way to get excel to take the first scanned item and assign it to one column and take the next item and assign it to the next column.
For example Instead of scanning this way
product 1
serial 1
product 2
serial 2
product 3
serial 3
I would like excel to scan this way
product 1 serial 1
product 2 serial 2
product 3 serial 3

I am working on Windows 2007. I have a list of over 2000 people and need to make mailing labels for them. I cant cut and paste that would take forever.

Keeping the zero in front of a UPC number in excel?
I’m trying to format a file with UPC numbers in excel, some of which have zeros as the first number. I know how to get the zero to stay in front of the number in teh cell, but is there any way to have the zero show up in the formula bar? For example. the cell will say 039841401028, but the formula bar says 39841401028

How can I change the setting on a hand scanner from automatic “ENTER” to automatic “TAB” in microsoft Excel?
When I scan a barcode with a hand scanner in Excel, it does an automatic “ENTER” and goes down a cell. I’ve used this same scanner and it’s done “TAB” and moved to the right after data has been scanned. I can’t figure out how to switch them back and forth for different tasks.
Please Help!

I have a Matlab program that takes data from Excel and converts it to a barcode image?
Now I want to export the images back out of Matlab into another program (Word, Excel?) so I can line them all up to print. I use the imagesc function to make the barcode. The program takes the Excel data one at a time and generates the barcode. When one is done the next one will overwrite the old one in the Matlab plot. How can I export them so they all are kept? Please help, I asked before and got one answer which was like “do a VBA” which means nothing to me because I am not a programmer. I need to do this so I am trudging through Matlab learning on the way. Thanks.
