I want a bar code for my retail food product, how do I get one?
I am starting a wholesale food company and need bar codes to put on my products, how do I get the bar codes? Is there a free generator or should I pay a company to make it? Which is the best company to do this?

What companies do food labels and packaging?
I am not sure if that is the best way to ask the question. I ahve a recipe that I want to package for distribution but i ahve no idea how to get the caloric count and the like that is found on labels done. I also am not sure how to find a distributor or a packager. While I could market and distribute it myself I would like to have the option if it would be more economical. Thanks.

Where can I find an online food database?
I’m looking for an online database, or a way to access a database by upc code, to determine food ingredients. For example, I’d like to be able to look up Campbell’s Chicken Noodle soop to verify ingredients for allergy reasons.

What is the best,printer,ink,paper,software for designing food labels(jars etc)?
The commercial alternative is to but a loop with a few thousand labels,but if I were to do everything in house,what’s the best choices?What has been your experience creating/designing labels?

What do the barcodes on food packages do?
Ok, so you know how on every bag of chips, candy, etc at a liquor store has a barcode… What is it use for? Does it make a sound so people cant steal food or is it just use for checking the prices of items? Does anybody know?
