a cover for a google g1 and is it good?
im thinking of getting a g1 tomorrow and does anyone know if the stuff like the bar code scanner work good or is it cheap? also i do not like the flat black so is there a cover for them thts chrome or shiny black? how much? thx!

i can tell u first hand that the g1 is probably one of the best phones on the market at the moment. I think it is as good as the iPhone if not better thanks to Android.
To answer ur question about the bar code scanner, there are a few apps with bar code scanners but the one i use is an app called ‘Shop Savvy’ and it is amazing. You can scan almost any item, have the bar code read and it will search the internet in seconds telling you the cheapest place to buy it online and locally and even reviews on the product you just scanned!
I have it in black too and have seen pictures of people modding them in different colors like red, blue, yellow, orange and more. But you can buy covers for them like plastic or silicon ones. best bet is Amazon or eBay for best price.

How to get a replacement “Favorite Place” window decal from Google Maps?
The company I work for was chosen as a “Favorite Place” by Google. They mailed us a decal to put on our front door that has a barcode which customers can scan with cell phones to get information about our company. However, our receptionist threw out the letter and the decal thinking it was junk mail. Does anyone know if there is any way to get a replacement? I’ve tried contacting Google, but have had no luck, any suggestions?

If you can’t contact Google directly and receive an answer from them then I suspect that you are out of luck. Did you email them? Is it possible to ring them? It is Google who sent you the decal, so I don’t know who else you could go to to get a replacement. Sorry I can’t offer any better suggestions.

No, it has a camera which if you upload an application such as SHOPSAVVY it utilizes the camera to take a picture of the barcode to read it and provide you cheaper prices and where to get them.

What would the current google barcode scan as?
I noticed on google today that it is a barcode because on october 7th the barcode was discovered. And i was wondering what would happen if someone scanned that barcode
