Can someone tell me what type of inkjet printer is best for printing heat transfer paper?
I’m not sure which type of printer is best to print images onto heat transfer paper. Please point me to the right direction. Also, what’s the difference between “deskjet”, “inkjet”, and “laser” printers? I see all these different type of models and i’m confuse what makes one different from the other.

Which printer shud i buy .laser or inkjet?
I compared the prices .. inkjet is much cheaper than laser.. aslo Ink jet has scanning, colour prinout and photocopying functionality ..
now I read that laser printers are faster and prints pages of better quality.. also the inkjet,s cartraige needs to be replaced ofetn .and so maintaince become more..
I just read that
My requirements are
I will take printout of a test paper(10-15 pages) daily… so whats better option for me
having extra scanner and photocopying at cheaper rate sounds better.. but then how much will qulaity of print be affected and what about cartraiges cost
Best answer:
Inkject is most suitable for you. Ink jet printing cost is also cheaper. In ordinary Laser jet you can only print BW and that doesn’t make much quality wise difference between inkjet and laser jet when you are printing on a plain paper.

laser vs. inkjet?
I am deciding between getting a B&W laser vs. getting a color inkjet that does color and photos. Either one would be an All-in-One fax/scanner/copier/printer.
The bulk of my printing is B&W text and I’ve only had a B&W laser in the past. (That printer is on its last legs.) However, I thought it might be nice to have color and photo printing capabilities, just in case.
Another option is to get an all-in-one laser and then a 0 inkjet. Or, vice versa.
Anybody out there have two printers (one for B&W and the other for color) and want to share their advice?
thanks to everyone
Best answer:
Laser is still cheaper per page then ink jet and the quality of ink jet just isn’t quit there yet. If your more concerned with those two factors then anything else then go laser.
Laser also has allot less down time then ink jets over the long haul. Take it from someone that repairs both.
Your other option would be to get a low cost ink jet also just for your color work. No rule against having more then one printer.
i know of many people that have 2 or even 3 printers for specialized purposes.

inkjet vs laserjet?
I am trying to select a new printer for an apple computer. I want a printer + scanner combination. I am hesitating between the HP Color LaserJet CM1015 MFP and the HP OfficeJet 7410. I stick with HP because in the past their products have never disapointed and they work well with Mac. I just wonder if i am better with laser or inkjet. I use this as a home office printer, mostly color documents and the ocasional picture.
Best answer:
I think the OfficeJet is cheaper and should fit you needs well.

What is the difference in price for say a inkjet printer or a laser jet printer ?
looking to purchase a printer, scanner, fax copier and I want to get something sturdy and easy to use, such as installing the ink, a multipaper fax, making pictures, having a lcd screen. I am under the impression that laser jets are alot more expensive.. thanks for your answers
Best answer:
Lasers are not that expensive at all. And they cost much less to use than an inkjet. The main difference is that inkjets tend to be more versatile (for instance, better for photos)

Color inkjet vs. color laser all-in-one printer?
I’m looking for a color all-in-one/multi-function printer (printer, copier, fax machine, and scanner) with an automatic document feeder and a glass (or whatever it’s made of) flatbed. I need something that’s not too large. We currently have a Canon MultiPASS F50, and while it’s a fantastic machine, we think it might not be a bad idea to begin looking at newer products. I need to know if it’s better to get a color inkjet printer or a color laser printer (this printer has to be color). On average, I usually print black-and-white Word documents (usually 50 pages per week), but do print in color often (aound 10 pages/week). What type would be more cost-effective to get? Any input is greatly appreciated, as are links to expert opinions. (While you can suggest printer models, all I really want is to know if it’s better to get inkjet or laser.)
Thanks again! (=
Okay, I’ll admit it: I’m not really looking for a new printer. I’m doing this for requirement 1 of the Personal Management merit badge, which involves planning for purchasing something that would be considered a major expense. Also, we have a good Brother B/W laser printer (only printer functionality), but that’s on the other side of the room (while we do have a USB cable, it would be too much work to hook it up to this desktop; we use it with the desktop near it and with laptops, but I like the idea :). But, assuming I didn’t have any printer at all, would it be more cost-effective to buy 2 printers? If it’s only (as per yisgood), that might be a very good idea.
Best answer:
my preference has always been ink-jet mainly because I do a lot of color pictures. I have used laser and the colors are not true. cost wise for as little as you do there probably wouldn’t be much difference

Best all-in-one inkjet printer that uses min. ink possible?
Hi, I used to use an monochrome laser printer for years, but now wanted to get an all-in-one inkjet printer that uses min. ink possible. As I’ve done several researches here and there, I found that the models that most people would recommend are either Canon or Epson, which both are big “ink-drinkers”! I don’t need a supreme color quality printer but just an average quality is alright for me. Any recommendations (fax would be an added bonus if included)? Or would you say invest a color laser printer and separate scanner/copier would be better? I’m talking about the advantages in the long run. Thank you.
Yesterday I just brought Epson NX400, I’m wondering where to get the cheapest but RELIABLE comparable ink cartridgepossible? Thank you.
Best answer:
Inkjet printers all seem to be ink hogs. I will be buying an HP all-in-one to go along with my HP Pavilion. I always buy a printer from the same company that made my computer. There seems to be less software conflicts. Separate printer and scanner does solve one major problem; if one crashes the other is still available–hopefully.

Printer cost-effectiveness? What type (inkjet, laser, etc…) would end up being cheaper in the long run?
My office is looking for a new printer and we print a LOT of stuff.
What would end up being cheaper in the long run? We were thinking laser printer but we weren’t sure… an answer with the type of printer and why would be much appreciated. :)
Also, we were thinking of getting a scanner. Cheaper to get them separate or buy an all-in-one? We only need the scanner for archiving so it doesn’t have to be high-quality.
Best answer:
Laser printing has a much lower cost per page than inkjets but you need to print a lot to make up for the higher cost of the printer. I have some laser printers which have worked without problems for over ten years but I rarely see a working inkjet which is over a year old.
I would recommend buying a separate scanner and printer as I have found the combined ones to be unreliable and the software for them is usually poor quality.

I need to print some very high quality scans of pictures I have for an art magazine, laser or inkjet?
What should I look for? I need to scan and print some art images to submit for my producers. Some of the art has very fine lines close together. Most of them are sketches and drawings using pencils and pen on paper with not much color used. Some of it is also water paintings done by local artists. I want to capture color and just as importantly, detail. When the sketch prints out, it’s important that if a magnifying glass is used, there shouldn’t be much, if any at all, detail loss. As far as scanners go, I assume I just look for high resolution capability? Cost is somewhat important as well, I’m trying to stay within the 0 budget range. Thank you everyone in advance.
What’s best for micro printing? Anything that can print micro text or numbers should be fine capturing the details of the art. Colors should match up well too of course.
Best answer:
laser every time but they are expensive!

Best answer:
are there any photo studio around your place,. ask them i they do scan or they do reproduce big pictures…
if its a really high quality images.. i dont think that computer printers, or house printers and scanner would be good enough.. go to photo studios that might offer the services that you need.
