I’m looking for a small bar code inventory system for a beauty salon.?
The ones that I’ve looked at are huge. Includes way more features than I’d ever use. Simple, enter the product when I receive it and enter how many I want to keep on hand, substract it when we sell it and tell me when I need to order more. Would be nice if each person had a number so I could keep track of and print out what they sold at the end of the month. Ideas?

more than one online store and automated inventory management?
Hi, if i have my own website with an online store and then I also use something like ebay but want my inventory information to be stored in one place and automated as much as possible. What would you suggest to solve this? ie is there a shopping cart that would import excel spreadsheets, so that the inventory management does not have to be manually updated???

How well do the more expensive versions of quickbooks work for inventory control?
Ideally, I would like to set up an “ingredient list” for products so that my materials are automatically reduced every time new product is made.
Not everything that is possible is easy. I’m looking for a quantitative opinion on how difficult this function is to set up and maintain. I have never used quickbooks before and have not yet bought the program.

I’m always having a hard time determining what costs should be inventory versus COGS.?
From what I understand, materials that you purchase for resale are classified as inventory but how about shipping labels, packaging materials, etc. Can someone please help me understand the difference?

What are the inventory control systems of Burger King, McDonalds, and Wendy’s?
How are products shipped to the restaurants? How are the products identified for inventory purposes? How often is physical inventory taken at these restaurants?

What art inventory management software do you use/recommend?
I’ve been doing some research surrounding the different options of POS related software with an art inventory focus.
So far I have been looking into Masterpiece Solutions (www.masterpiecesolutions.com) which is actually software for Galleries/Stores, but they also have a version for individual artists called Archer Artist (http://www.archerartist.com/). This version costs . So far I’m leaning towards Archer Artist as it is the only art focused inventory software I have come across.
I have seen a few others: Artist’s Butler and Working Artist but they don’t deal with POS and are either more expensive or very close. Does anyone know of any other ART focused software I might be overlooking?

What is the best/most common free/low cost inventory management app? From parts to finished products as well..?
I have a small biz and we build electronic devices and soon enough we have about 500 different items with 10,000pcs or more of each and they go into products and inventory is a nightmare!!! How can I make life easier with everything on a single database and the software will know to “convert” items to finished products when i enter they are ready? Thanks!!!
