bought a fake item on ebay? refund?
i bought an item on ebay to find out it was fake. when i asked the seller for a refund he insisted that they were real but i know they dont because they do not look like the real ones and he also stated they were in good condition and when i got them the shoes were creased in. he says that he did not state that they were real but he is telling me they are. but can i get a refund even though he is unwilling?
** the size tag date does not touch the barcode which indicates that the shoes are fake.

How can I detect the presence of another specific item electronically cheaply (I can’t afford a RFID reader)?
I am attempting to create a system that remotely detects another unique item electronically without having to purchase an expensive RFID tag and reader. Additionally, I believe a proximity sensor can only detect the presence of ANY item rather than a specific and unique item. Also, if possible I would like the solution to incorporate compact items that need to be placed on a bicycle and a keychain. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!

Why would a UPC code be missing on an eBay item?
I am looking into buying a Blackberry phone, but my current contract terms make it rather expensive to buy a new model. I am looking at a lightly used one for a decent buy-it-now price (between 0 and 0). It seems legitimate, with pictures of the actual item and not ones from press releases, but one thing caught my eye as I read the product description.
The description reads that the original box is included, “minus upc”. I assume this refers to the UPC Universal Product Code. I don’t know the technicalities of retail/marketing law as they would apply to eBay and reselling items, but I’m not sure why you would have to remove the UPC if you were reselling an item. Is there a reason, legitimate or not, that you can think of for this? If so, what? Is there anything that could explain why the UPC is missing?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Find Price of item through BarCode?
Like,
Typing in the numbers on a website and then knowing the price!
Thanks!
Best answer:
a barcode won’t tell you the price of something, it just translates into the number printed under it… the stores have an internal database that translates “item 12345″ to “cost .99″

When returning an item at Best Buy, do they scan the UPC bar code or just the receipt?
I have a Canadian Blu-ray copy of “IGOR” and it has a totally different UPC barcode then the one from here (United States) and since I got it for free and in case they won’t accept it because of the different UPC numbers, I was going to buy the U.S version keep that one and later return the Canadian version, leaving me with the US version with the corresponding UPC number, later making me exchange it in store for another movie but with U.S UPC. So am wondering if by any chance do they scan the UPC barcode when returning something? Or they just scan the receipt from the purchase? Thank you so much! Hope I was clear. Thanks again! Im very curious about this.

Is there anything wrong with selling an item without its UPC code?
I want to sell this box of photo editing software on eBay. It is brand new never been used still in the box, but the UPC is missing because I had to cut it out to redeem a rebate for the product. Won’t someone think it is stolen if they receive the box with the UPC cut out?
I failed to mention that, of course, I would say on my eBay item description that the UPC is missing.
