How long should I keep a box?
Should I keep the boxes from products purchased, or can I maybe cut out the barcode or take a note of the details and dispose of the box?
Best answer:
A year is usually good on most appliance boxes. And really all you need is the UPC and such. Warranties and such should be kept until they run out.

What software can I use to keep track of inventory at a large warehouse?
I work for a clothing wholesaler and we are having problems keeping track of our inventory. The amounts we deal with are pretty large numbers. Is there some kind of software out there that will make this a lot easier? Currently using Excel and just manually inputting invoices. Im looking for something with maybe a barcode system. Any help is appreciated. Thank you

I would like to be able to scan a upc label to keep an inventory of my dvd and cd collection.?
I have a large collection of cd’s and dvd’s and i would like to keep a inventory of them by scanning the upc. What software and hardware would i need? And how difficult would it be tp do. Thanks.

Good way to keep track of peoples’ orders that come into me? ( i have ebay xbox repair business)?
I am staring an xbox repair business. I will have xbox’s coming and going, so i need to keep track in an easy way. How so? should i just write a number on a stickie and put it on there? (like the white rectangle ones) and put the same number in my computer? or is there an easier way? i would love to have a barcode system, but i dont have that much money to invest, and I dont know how to use it. thanks :)

I keep getting this scam at work.People call wanted to know my barcode on my copy machine.Why.?
I ask them what business they are calling from and they hang up.How does this scam work and what do they get out of it.

Probably going to send (and bill you for) a bunch of toner. You are smart to be curious. With the bar code information, they can make it look like you placed the order!

can stores keep track of if an item on the floor was bought and returned by its barcode?
so a theft brings up the item to the cashier and said ‘i want to return thing’ would they be able to tell that someone returned it and they got it from the floor just from that store’s sticker on something??

i am using the memorex disk label creator, but why does it keep printing the picture stupid?
it keeps on printing the image above the sticker so it never comes out right it gets 80% sticker and 20% above the sticker so theres always a white line below on the sticker, why does it print like that?

Will marking on a barcode with a sharpie keep it from setting the alarm off at walmart?
First off, if you took makeup or something with a barcode and tried to walk out of the doors of walmart without paying, would the barcode set off the alarm?
Second, bedhead hair products have stick on barcodes over printed barcodes, if you took off the stick on barcode (which is different from the printed code) would the printed on barcode set off the alarm?
If I was to color over a barcode with a sharpie, would that keep the alarm from setting off?
So basically, is it possible to walk out of walmart with an unpaid item that just has a normal barcode (not a security tag)?

yes. the alarms only sense the security tags, but sometimes they hide them inside packaging.
