How do I keep my computer from turning off?
I’m having a problem with my wireless adapter (it’s not compatible with Vista) so until I can buy a new one, I have to keep my computer on or else I won’t be able to access the internet. I have a virus scanner and it has a habit of running scans while I sleep and it always restarts. Obviously this will be a problem, so how do stop it from doing that?

Best answer:

check the settings, see if its automated thing. like”when scan completes, restart computer”

if you buy alcohol and give it to a minor and that minor is later caught, can authorities know who purchased the bottle originally buy scanning the barcode? this is just to settle a bet with a friend

If you steal an item (for example, a shirt) and keep the tag on, can you return it for money?

If you steal an item (for example, a shirt) and keep the tag on, can you return it for money?
THIS IS NOT FOR MY OWN USE! I’m doing a science project on barcode scanners and how they work, I DO NOT STEAL CLOTHES!! Basically, I would like to know if someone steals an item from a store (like american eagle) and then asks to return it at another store (with the tag still on) if they scan the barcode will it show up as stolen or would they get away?

Best answer:

The barcode is simply stores an identifying number for the store’s inventory management system to read.

The barcode is not unique to the that particular piece of inventory but rather that category of item.

For example: All shirts of the same design, color, and size will have the same barcode. However that barcode will not be able to tell the POS (point of sale) system anything about how the item was obtained or if it was ever even sold.

That said. Don’t steal. You will get caught.

I keep getting the same error in my java program so I can’t run it. It says symbol errors. Can anyone help me?
Im not sure what symbol errors mean but can someone help me out here.

import java.util.Scanner;
public class Diamond{
public static void main(String[] args){
int height;
height = 6;
for (int i=1; i<=height; i++){
for (int j=1; j<=1; j++)
system.out.print("*");
system.out.println();
Scanner scan = new Scanner(System.in);
int sides;
System.out.print("How many sides?");
sides = scan.nextInt();
Diamond d = new Diamond(6); // Constructor, for a Diamond object of side-length n
d.printOut(); // Prints the Diamond shape to the screen
}
}
}

Best answer:

I’m not sure if this will fix all your problems, but the first two lines in your for loops: system.out.print(“*”);
system.out.printlin();
need to be capitalized: System.out.print(“*”);
System.out.println();

Do I need to renew my GS1 membership to keep using my UPC barcodes?

January 5th, 2006 at 09:22am Under Forum

Do I need to renew my GS1 membership to keep using my UPC barcodes?
I signed up to GS1 (at great expense) to receive a company prefix to create my barcodes. I thought this was a one-time fee for my 100 unique barcode numbers. They now want me to pay an annual “license renewal fee” to continue to use my company prefix. What will happen to my company if I let my GS1 membership lapse? Thanks

Best answer:

um…idk…have a wonderful evening…sorry i couldnt help =]
