where can i find large blank mailing labels (4 1/4″ X 5 1/2″).?
I am trying to find mailing labels where there are only four labels per page. I need them on letter size paper so the labels would be 4 1/4″ X 5 1/2″. Do any companies make labels of that size. I can’t find them in stores.

What software can I use to keep track of inventory at a large warehouse?
I work for a clothing wholesaler and we are having problems keeping track of our inventory. The amounts we deal with are pretty large numbers. Is there some kind of software out there that will make this a lot easier? Currently using Excel and just manually inputting invoices. Im looking for something with maybe a barcode system. Any help is appreciated. Thank you

can you use the large forever stamp on an envelope?
I have this larger forever stamp, the one with the barcode, can you use this on an envelope?
Best answer:
As long as it hasn’t been used before (and shows signs of being canceled), you should be able to use it.

What are the large barcode stickers on windows on cars in Florida?
I see them all the time, they are pretty large in size, and so far I have only seen them on cars in Florida. I think they are generally on the back passenger side window. What are they???
Best answer:
Their just a way for the dealership to keep track of them before you buy them,

should I use bar-coded or RF ID labels to receive, move, pick large furniture products with a forklift?
We have an opportunity to put both RFID’ed and barcoded labels on our large furniture products. Is it worthwhile to buy RFID readers when we already have barcode readers?
Best answer:
Nope, I think barcode readers are more effective. I used RF ID readers at work and we switched back to barcode readers.

Does anyone know of a computer program for running a large scale consignment store?
My parents own a large children’s consignment store. I have been doing their bookwork for them for the past 12 years. They currently have over 3,000 consignees and I’m trying to convince them to get a computer for their store and I’m looking for a program for them to use. I’m looking for a bar code system for keeping track of consignee accounts. I’d like them to be able to price the clothing through the computer and then print a ticket w/ the consignee number and price and a barcode. I think it would be so much easier to do it through computer than by hand like we’ve been doing for the past 12 years. I’d like the program to also keep track of what each consignee sells throughout the month as items sell so when they come to get paid for their clothing the employees can just look it up by putting in the consignee’s account number. Is there any such program???? It’s just so much work doing all this by hand each month. If you have any info or websites please let me know. Thanks!
Best answer:
There is a consignment shop in NJ called Unique in the Watchung central Jersey area…this place is huge and organized according to departments like a store and they have a computer that the girl just has to hit one key and a price comes up with dept!..maybe you can contact the owner cause they are really organized!

What is the best software for creating a large database of rare books?
My father has thousands of rare books in his collection and I would like to create a database so that he can search for books, generate a list for insurance purposes, etc.
What would be the best software to create this database in? Most of his books are not contemporary and thus do not have a barcode.
I also want to ensure that the software I choose has easy options to export the data in case I need to switch software.
Best answer:
There’s a Microsoft Office software program called “Access”. It might be a little confusing to learn at first, but it’s pretty useful. You can sort the books in any way that you want on this program, and I’m pretty sure you can export the data to, but that’s not something we covered in Computer Awareness class, so I’m not sure.

Large Area Wireless Network?
I am in need of a Wireless Network through a large warehouse type area, it doesn’t need fast internet or anything, it’s just to hook a mobile scanner into the server computer. The warehouse is 100′ x 140′, would a traditional wireless router cover this area or do I need some special equipment?
As to what is in the way, there is a small office section simply with cinder block walls, then the warehouse itself is filled with tall shelves stocked with heavy machine parts, the roof is easily 40 feet high and there’s an overhead crane as well.
Best answer:
Your going to be best off with some repeaters or an external (but use it inside) directional antenna.

What is the process for tracking inventory in a large business?
We use a CMMS software, but it is ran poorly. Any tips on streamlining the process would be greatly appreciated. Specifically tips on inventory storage; pda usage with tracking inventory; barcode systems with tracking inventory; RFIDs with tracking inventory; personal experience with inventory. Order of operation, flow chart, anything would be helpful, especially a web site link to an explanation of inventory and logistics. THANK YOU!
