While there are thousands of accessories that have been designed specifically for iPod, not all of these may be fully compatible with iPad.To ensure the best possible experience, Apple has created special compatibility requirements for accessory manufacturers. Products that are engineered and certified to be compatible with iPad will have a “Made for iPad” label on their package. To ensure compatibility when purchasing third-party accessories for use with iPad, look for accessories that are authorized to use the “Made for iPad” label or the “Made for iPod/Made for iPhone/Made for iPad” label (see below). “Made for iPod” means that an electronic accessory has been designed to connect specifically to iPod and has been certified by the developer to meet Apple performance standards. Usb Barcode Readers – Scanning & Reading 1D and 2D Barcodes!

If it happens that you’re currently looking into getting usb barcode readers and you could use some advice on which one to buy, then all you need to do is follow a few basic steps that will make the process of researching and buying a scanner a lot easier. Using a portable scanner can significantly improve your method of working with digitized data, most of all when saving irreplaceable printable data is concerned. Rather than making an impulsive purchase, we suggest that you read the following guide.

The same as any current and sophisticated hardware device, transportable scanners have been developed to be a lot more accessible and user-friendly. Compact scanners are great for many items you’ll want to scan, for example, important cards and receipts that are piling up, miscellaneous documents… whatever you want. With very little time and effort, they provide exceptional pixel resolution in several different format options. In today’s market, the price of usb barcode readers can be considered a wise investment whether you are buying it for personal or business use.

One of the most popular qualities of these compact scanners is that they are so easy to work with whether you’re at home, at work, or on the road. Installed on the scanners is the latest software which makes it easy to scan printed documents and pictures alike and then save the files to use in various ways. For example, id cards scanning systems can extract the ‘snapshot’ of the card, the cardholder’s photo and signature, and all the text of the card and arrange it in suitable data and image fields that can be saved to your choice of software.

Before committing to usb barcode readers please give some thought to the next several pointers: (1) what will your scanner’s main purpose be? (2) search the internet for scanners you think might fit your needs; (3) compare the technical specifications of each scanner; (4) be sure that the manufacturer has a good name and look for products reviews by real users; (5) verify delivery rates and refund or exchange practices.

Because Zebras have black and white stripes, could you scan one with a barcode scanner and get a reading?

June 10th, 2007 at 08:50pm Under Forum

Because Zebras have black and white stripes, could you scan one with a barcode scanner and get a reading?

Best answer:

No. Even though the printers are called “zebra” printers.

They require specific ordering, thinknness and spacing. It is astoundingly unlikely that a zebra would have a meaningful dispersion of lines. I suppose it is REMOTELY possible, but EXTREMELY unlikely.
