How to decode the barcode of BC lottery Ticket for Cash Register?
I need to know how to decode the barcode ex: 99203938 the 99 stays still and the price is 39,38$, but it seems different for the BC lottery ticket does anyone now how to decode it?
Thanks In advance!
Best answer:
If it was that easy, i don’t think the lottery would be as succesful as it is. And more people would be winning all the time.

How do you do inventory for a resale shop if you are using a basic cash register?
I’ve been to resale shops and they ring your stuff and that’s it. They don’t write down anything or scan barcodes. Do you need to take inventory as long as you know what you made at the end of the day?
Best answer:
At the very least you need to take inventory once a year. You will need this information at the end of your business year to determine how much it cost you to buy the items you sold. This is necessary information for preparing your income taxes.
A really good idea is to take inventory on a more regular basis so you know if you are making money on what you are selling and also whether you are losing money due to people stealing or breaking items.
Hope that helps!

How will I operate the cash register?!?
I’m 17 and I just get a job at a local wynn dixie. They call me but said they can’t train me becuz they are too short on cashiers. Can someone told me how to operate it and what keys did i press? What happens if someone changes their mind on an item? How did I void? Do I scan or type in a barcode? I’m so nervous. Do I have to swipe a card?
Best answer:
Cash registers are very easy to use these days. They have brightly colored buttons that are clearly labeled. It is hard to mess up. If you look at the register for 30 seconds all your questions will be answered.
Just wait till they train you. It will be very simple.

Is there another way to register a ps3 for warranty?
Other than going online on Sony’s PlayStaion website and clicking register product, is there another way to register my ps3 for Sony’s one year warranty? I’m having problems registering it because of that invalid barcode error, yet I’ve checked it several times and it is right.
I hear you can mail registration info and I literally saw this on the site that I can do this. But; it also says “please mail in the Registration Card enclosed with the PLAYSTATION 3 system” what does this mean? Do I have to package my system in order to register it by mail? What’s the registration card?
Thanks yahoo.
Best answer:
You don’t need to regsiter your PS3 for warranty. As long as you have your receipt (proof of purchase) , you are good. So make sure to keep it in a safe place.
Even if you are registered, if you don’t have a receipt, your warranty claim will not be honored.
“please mail in the Registration Card enclosed with the PLAYSTATION 3 system” means that there is a Registration Card inside the PS3 package that you bought. It doesn’t mean that you need to mail it with the PS3. Do not worry about registration at all.

What key do you have to punch in the register to enter the bar code number?
I have read the manual but i still do not get this.I have a sharp cash register.
Best answer:
Unfortunately, all cash registers are different so it’s impossible to say precisely.
It generally is some obscure key or key combination that will get you to ‘enter bar code manually’ mode.
Perhaps shoot an e-mail off to Sharp. Refer to your exact model number.

cash register recommended?
We are a new small business with approx. 00 monthly sales at this time. We would like recommendations of cash registers to use. It is only my partner and I using the register, and no barcode scanning needed. Simple, with print out receipts necessary. Least expensive, doesn’t need alot of bells and whistles. Suggestions?
Best answer:
Instead of purchasing a cash register why not use your computer. There are many types of software available and you can purchase a printers that prints duplicate receipts and you can attach credit/debit machines to it and your inventory and other accounts will be updated at the same time, also it allows you to keep customer history and you can add bar code scanning later if you want. It is a much more versatile solution. and since your business is small it is cheaper.

How can you enter a bar code on your register without a scanner and computer?
I am a 14 yr old and i have a register and i want to know exactly how to input a bar code without a scanner and computer.
Best answer:
If you don’t have a scanner, you input the number below the bar code. Take a look at every product that has a bar code. Immediately below the bar code is a number. You input that number. Typically, you have to punch a key on the register to open the dialog for inputting the number, and that differs from one type of register to another. You can get that information from the instruction manual or the person who is teaching you to use the register.
