How can I develop my own unique OCR software?
I wish to know the process of developing OCR software to the end that I discover what it will take for me to develop my own unique OCR software that will recognise the characters(not letters) that I wish it to recognise.

I am opening small buisness and need invoicing/receipt software?
I am opening a small buisness. We do not have barcodes on our products and need some software to make nice receipts. I was wondering if there was some computer software that would work and was curioius about the cash drawers that hook up to your computer. Anything would be helpful not sure what I need. Thanks

I am planning to get into the manufacturing job market? Is there a particular sequence of experience and training I would need? What’s the best manufacturing software out there? Where do I get trained on this product? What is the salary for this kind of work?

What is a good asset tracking database or software system?
We know about inFlow Inventory Software and have seen the templates for MS Access and OpenOffice.org for databases. We have also tested QuickBooks for inventory tracking, however none of the above quite fit what were looking for. We would like a software or database that is simple, does not have monthly fees (or ludicrous licensing fees), does not require a programmer to build a complex database to manage and maintain, and things of that nature. We want a system similar to how a library works; a worker comes in and checks out a ladder, we log it in the database and when it is returned, we log it again showing it is available.

What is the best software for labeling CD/DVD’s?
I have heard horror stories of labels being too thick…what is the best (and least expensive) labeling software or label maker for CD’s and DVD’s that won’t damage my DVD’s when I play them back.

What art inventory management software do you use/recommend?
I’ve been doing some research surrounding the different options of POS related software with an art inventory focus.
So far I have been looking into Masterpiece Solutions (www.masterpiecesolutions.com) which is actually software for Galleries/Stores, but they also have a version for individual artists called Archer Artist (http://www.archerartist.com/). This version costs . So far I’m leaning towards Archer Artist as it is the only art focused inventory software I have come across.
I have seen a few others: Artist’s Butler and Working Artist but they don’t deal with POS and are either more expensive or very close. Does anyone know of any other ART focused software I might be overlooking?

Please help!!!! Is there any label and brochure software creator?
I need a label, brochure and business card software creator. I have photoshop cs3, dreamweaver, and indesign, but I can’t find anything to create labels , If you know of any software or a way to create and design labels on my own, I’m about to start my own business and I don’t want to spend a lot of money in advertising yet, if I know i can make it by myself.
