QSR-POS: What are the base minimum requirement for a system to be considered a QSR enabled POS?
Quick Service Restaurant POS systems usually requires a lot of interactivity, reporting, and inventory management. What are the other possible features that are required for a QSR POS to succeed in the market?

What is a good asset tracking database or software system?
We know about inFlow Inventory Software and have seen the templates for MS Access and OpenOffice.org for databases. We have also tested QuickBooks for inventory tracking, however none of the above quite fit what were looking for. We would like a software or database that is simple, does not have monthly fees (or ludicrous licensing fees), does not require a programmer to build a complex database to manage and maintain, and things of that nature. We want a system similar to how a library works; a worker comes in and checks out a ladder, we log it in the database and when it is returned, we log it again showing it is available.

1) x+y=5
y=7-x
2) 3x-y=2
16x-5y=11
3) 3over5x – 7over5y = 1

basic free retail POS/Inventory system?
i work sprint store as a salesman and we have ne inventory system what so ever. i spoke to my boss and he agreed to pay me if i could set up an inventory system for the store. the problem is that the retail pos we use is overly complicated for what we do, and we dont really know how to use it (we got it for free). i was wondering if anybody knows of a fairly simple pos system that would do what we need without being overly complicated. we just need a inventory system and a point of sale system that looks professional and is easy to use and will allow the employee to apply discounts on the spot. extra features are nice and we can use more that that but those are the essential features. thanks

Does anyone know where to find a free Point of sale system online for free to download?
I’m openning a retail store and the only thing missing is a POS system. I don’t have enough to buy a real POS system, the full POS hardware/software is 99.99 and just a POS software is 9.99 at Costco. I’ve tried a search online but no luck, only the free trails comes up. I’ve got a computer that I can turn it to a PC cash register but no software. Can anyone help me please, it would mean so much to me.
Now a stores there are new check out systems, is there a place where they sell the old point of sale systems, is it cheaper or the same with buying a new one?

How can a barcode system helps to improve customer’s satisfaction?
what i meam is, the use of barcodes in businesses has many advantages like faster access to information and data read are accurate, so through these advatages it helps a customer to e satisfied when he is buying from a shop that uses barcode system.

What would be the best point of sale system???
I need a POS program that’s very easy to work with and focuses more on the general checkout than on inventory. Free would be pretty nice, as well as touchscreen buttons, simple, and easy to use (has large buttons and so on) Thank you!
