What are the laws for using brand name t-shirts, screen printing them & selling them with your tag?
I am starting a children’s t-shirt business. I will buy blank t-shirts and have them screenprinted with my design. Is it against the law to remove the manufacturer’s tag and replace it with mine?

I need bar codes for some products i sell in my store. The suppliers don’t provide them. How do i create them?
Basically, i have some products that i sell in my store. However, some brands/products don’t have barcodes, and i need to create some for my checkout scanners. How can i create the barcodes, and which format do i use eg UPC, EAN …. etc?

I want to print labels for products I sell in plastic and glass bottles. What software can I use to make them?
I’ve figured out that I need weatherproof labels for the products I need, and I have a logo that is in a vector EPS format. But when I use the Avery label making software the EPS (and any other images I import) are very grainy and look terrible.
What software would allow me to make professional quality labels, that allow images to be high quality and is easy to work with?

What is the difference between a UPC code and and ISBN number and how do I buy them so they fit together?
I am starting my own publishing company and am putting together a book. I know I need both UPC and ISBN numbers, but they seem to be from different places and I was wondering how they fit together? Can I buy the UPC and the ISBN seperately and will that be okay? I thought the UPC was a computer translation of the ISBN

Is there a service where I can send my printed barcode through mail and have them verify?
–Or– is there a program where I can print the barcode in PDF and have that program read it back to me in human readable form…

A barcode wand is a device that you hold in your hand, that reads barcodes off of stuff like magazines or food or whatever. It’s basically the same as the one at the supermarket checkout counter, except it’s hand-held and not attached to the counter :)

How do you get set up your products to place a barcode on them to be distributed or sold in retail?

Most POS software has built in programs that allows you to scan barcodes, and also allows you to make your own for merchandise that doesn’t have a barcode. I use Shopassist, which does both, cheap, and easy to use. The program, as most, has an excellent help guide.

why does like half of the things in the planet have barcodes on them?
well i look at things for example like a bottle of water it has a barcode on it why is that?
