Is there a book called Barcode?
I was wondering if there is a book called Barcode.
My friends are talking about a book called Barcode, and since I couldn’t find anything on it online, I want to make sure that they’re not faking me out..

Is there a website that I can type a barcode into and it will tell me what the product is and how much it was?

No…you may be able to Google some UPC labels, but the actual product/price/etc. are programmed locally at each store. You may have one product that 5 different stores are selling, but are all different prices. Factor in special promotions or sales and you can see why they would all be different and the need to program the UPCs locally.

Is there a way to get volunteer experience with a cash register?
I have never had a real job, and all of the jobs I have actually WANTED and applied for, as well as gotten interviews for, involve a cash register. It appears I can’t get hired at the time being without experience. Is there any place I could volunteer that would involve me using a cash register that you can think of? Thank you!
Thanks, but I don’t think writing “I know how to use a calculator” on my resume will do me much good.

Is there any PDF reader that has a highlighting function that DOES NOT require OCR?
For many of the PDF readers I’ve used, they all have a highlighting function, but they all have to have the characters recognized as actual text. When I try to use OCR, the characters are lopsided if the scanned book page isn’t exactly straight and I can’t read it. So, I just want to draw yellow line on whatever I want to highlight. Is there any PDF reader/editor that can do this?

Is there a portable printer/scanner for photographs?
I need a portable printer which can scan and print up to 8 1/2 x 11 photos for a family reunion where a pc will not be available. Is there such a printer available? Electrical outlet will be available. Is the Dell V305 a good candidate?
